Business valuation is a process and a set of procedures used to estimate the economic value of an owner’s interest in a business. Business valuation helps owners: 1) Determine the approximate value of marketable assets in the event the business is liquidated. 2) Establish an approximate value of each owner’s interest for personal planning purposes if the business is to be retained for the owner or the owner’s survivors. 3) Determine the approximate value of each owner’s interest if the business interest is to be sold. I specialize in a multi-dimensional approach to valuing small business for purchase or sale. I also value businesses for buy-sell agreements and for insurance purposes.
